Hannah's Animal Noises

I know I look like total crap in this video, but what can I say? I have been home locked in my house for a week with a sinus infection and sick kids, hence why Hannah's voice sounds terrible - she's been one of the sick kids. But this was so cute that Cam told me that I was being dumb if I didn't post it just because how terrible I look. Also, I had Paige doing the video again, so sorry if it's a little shaky. I want to mention that Hannah is 16 months old and to explain the horse sound - well, since we have horses my kids have never said the typical sound for a horse - they just say what they hear which is fine with me :)

Paige Celebrates School Spirit Week

Here's just a couple of the days that she joined in on.

This was pick a decade day. I, of course, chose the 80's. She thought I was pretty cool after learning that I lived through it. Then she couldn't figure out why in the world I would peg my pants. For the life of me, I can't either.

Notice the double layered scrunched up socks, knot tied shirt and pony tail off to the side. WHY IN THE WORLD IS THIS COMING BACK?

This was crazy hair day. I just stuck it up in a ton of rubber bands. She thought it was great.

Happy Birthday Cameron!

I know I'm a little late with this, but I want to wish Cam a happy birthday and let him know how much I love him. He hit the big 35 this year. Let's see if I can name 35 great things about him:

1. He picked me - how much more great can he get?
2. He has gorgeous blue eyes.
3. He looks hot in wranglers.
4. He looks really hot in a broken-in cowboy hat :)
5. He's considerate of my feelings.
6. He always asks what I want to do.
7. He loves ice cream as much as I do!
8. He's extra sweet when I'm pregnant.

10. He always gets up with the kids in the morning on his days off.
11. He always makes breakfast on his days off.
12. He loves my Grandma as much as I do.
13. He's respectful to his elders.
14. He's respectful to authority.
15. He doesn't gossip.
16. He's one of the hardest workers I have ever seen.
17. I call him my ox because I swear he's as strong as one.
18. He's a good speller.
19. He has good handwriting for a guy :)
20. He's super handy!
21. He can build just about anything out of wood.
22. He has always told me I deserve to buy whatever I want for myself.
23. He looks really, really hot in his volunteer fireman's uniform.

33. He loves his job.
34. He's willing to compromise (and listen to me!).
35. He's really good with horses and can calm down about every horse I have ever seen him with - even with all the colts he breaks for other people.

Man - that was a lot easier than I thought it would be. I could easily list a ton more. For his birthday weekend we went to Idaho to see the blessing of his brother's baby. That kid is cute!! It was a lot of fun and he even bought himself a big screen TV. He has been working almost non-stop for a month and took some overtime and treated himself. (He sooo deserves it!)

This is him installing it. He's pretty excited!

It was great to spend so much time with his brother and his wife (thanks again Amy and Aaron for letting us come!) - they are a lot of fun. The kids all loved it too.

Here's Hannah trying not to touch the baby, but really wanting to.

This is Oliver - he's hilarious.

We all went in and got him an ice cream cake from DQ and some hilarious presents. His mom did an entire album composed of all his mission stuff. It must have taken hours and hours - pictures and letters he wrote home and from his mission president. I know he was really excited about that.

I have to share a funny story that is so typical Horsley - his parents sent him a jar of horse poop while he was on his mission to remind him of the ranch. I guess his companion wasn't so appreciative!

Well, happy birthday again cute boy - I love ya!

Funny things this week

I have to relate some funny things that happened this week.

1. Opening the washer to switch the laundry and finding my Crocs that Hannah put in there when I wasn't looking.

2. Hyrum said, "Mom, can you be my big helper? so I would feed him dinner.

3. Hyrum continually singing Linkin Park songs (I run on the treadmill to some).

4. Pictures we took today:

Paige the chimp

My cyclops son

Paige has some junk in the trunk

Hyrum without a head

(Turn away if you are squeamish)
5. An old companion remembering a funny story from my mission with me. This member lady answered the door and shook our hands as we came in. Then she tells us that she was late coming to the door because she was inserting a suppository. Then my horror as I realized her hands were dry when I shook them - Ahhhhhh!

The Difference In Brothers And Sisters

Sisters have a great bond. (Refer to my sister's blog) This starts very early - very spiritual and on a deep level. However, brothers also have a special bond, it's just different. It usually involves laughing, wrestling and overall harassment. But when Hannah and Paige want to really play hard then they go to Hyrum. No one can make the girls laugh like their brother. I have never heard them laugh as hard as they do with Hyrum. In these pictures Hannah was convinced she was goes to sit in Hyrum's lap, no matter what he thought. She backs up and plops into people's lap - her aim was good until Hyrum would move at the last minute.

But the girls have a kinship and Hannah looks up to Paige like no one else. She tries to mimic her and be a big kid just like her. Paige is patient and takes the time to show Hannah things and read to her. I love watching my kids interact - I'm learning so much!

This picture is just because Hannah is so stinking cute with her little pudgy hands!

Our White Winter

For the first time since we've been married, the snow has actually stayed for longer than a week. I love it and as you can see, we've all been enjoying it. Here's me pretending to snowboard down the side of the hill behind our house. We had to 4wheel up the hill and as hard as it was to get up, it wasn't very steep going down. I'm obviously not going very fast if the dog can keep up.

Here's Kaylonnie, Paige, Hyrum and Jace on the back of the sleigh.

Hyrum always has to sit with Grandpa.

Poor Bonnie and Penny only get used twice a year. Once for a sleigh ride and once during the 24th of July parade to pull a wagon!

Thanks to Britt and Wade for the rides! It's a good life if you can snow-machine in your frontyard!

The kids love to sled down the driveway.

Paige has figured out how to snowboard on the sled. She has even done this behind a 4wheeler.
