It seems that once a year Cameron seems to make into the emergency room. We are trying to keep our insurance company in business. Here's the story . . .on Thursdays, Cameron goes to the old high school gym to play basketball with other alumni. Apparently, things were going well until he went in for a rebound and when he stepped down his ankle rolled to the outside. It swelled up pretty well and my first instinct was to take a picture to document it. I don't think I showed the empathy like he was looking for. So, now he's off work for awhile. On the other hand, we're leaving for California next Saturday and Cameron's supposed to go fishing on Clear Lake for the first time. He says that if he has to lay on the deck of the boat and cast from there, he will still be happy.

Cameron's accident for the year
Potty Training
We have begun the potty training process. It really didn't go so well at first, but it has improved greatly in the last week or so. Hyrum does well at home, but not so well when traveling to other places or even outside. This video is a sample of how Hyrum acted most of the time when I would have him go. I have been bribing him with all sorts of things like chocolate chips or chocolate milk or gum. I am one who believes bribery works, and works well. His attitude has changed for the most part and he doesn't fight me as much as he used to, but occasionally he will run the other way. Wish us luck and if anyone has tips for boys - let me know!

MyHeritage: Family trees - Genealogy - Celebrities - Collage - Morph
My sister Laura showed me this site at myheritage.com where you can take a picture of yourself and your husband and your child to see who the child looks the most like. I was really surprised. I thought Hyrum looked just like Cam and that Paige looked just like me. I guess time will tell if I am right or if the computer is!
Then you can also see which celebrity you look the most like. Try it out!

Our strange little Hyrum
Hyrum is an interesting child. This is his taquito. He was eating this for lunch one day and then Cameron noticed that he had found some thumb tacks (I don't know where he got them) and decided to decorate it instead of eating it. Cameron left it on the table so that I could see it when I got home. That was really nice of him, wasn't it?
Meet Chica . . .
This is our new puppy, Chica. We still have Brumby, but there was a guy in town who had these and Cameron couldn't resist. She's is really smart and really fun. She's been great with the kids so far. We once owned the brother to Chica's mom and he was the most perfect dog ever. Both of Chica's parents are cow dogs and she's mostly border collie/blue heeler, but her markings are all australian shepherd.

My New Dryer! The excitement never ends!
I know this can't top the last blog (I'm glad Paige could entertain Laura so well), but I did promise that I would give an update about my dryer. Here's my new one! I love it! It's super quiet and I can stash all my laundry baskets, baby bathtub and soaps on top. Ah, the simple things that make me happy nowadays . . so thanks to Cameron for my long awaited dryer!
